At Spire Clare Park Hospital, we're seeking a compassionate and proactive Registered Nurse to join our Pre-Operative Assessment team. You'll play a key role in preparing patients for surgery, ensuring they receive the highest standard of care and support before treatment.

As a Pre-Assessment Nurse, you'll help ensure patients are clinically prepared and fully informed ahead of their procedure.

Key responsibilities include:

Conducting comprehensive pre-operative assessments

Triaging and assessing patients to ensure suitability for surgery

Identifying and escalating potential clinical concerns

Supporting safe, personalised patient care throughout the surgical pathway

Providing clear information and reassurance to patients and families

Working collaboratively with consultants, anaesthetists and multidisciplinary teams

Contributing to quality improvement and patient safety initiativesAbout You

We're looking for a nurse who is passionate about delivering exceptional patient care and thrives in a collaborative environment.

You'll have:

Current NMC registration with no restrictions on practice

Previous experience within a Pre-Assessment setting

Acute healthcare experience

Strong assessment and clinical decision-making skills

Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities

Confidence working independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team

Good IT and electronic patient record skillsDesirable:

Phlebotomy, venepuncture and ECG competency

Pre-Operative Assessment Association qualification or trainingIn Return We Offer
