Junior Service Engineer – CCTV & Electronic Security

Salary: £21,000–£26,000 basic + OTE £25,000–£30,000

The Opportunity
Peopleforce Recruitment is working with an established and growing specialist engineering business to recruit a Junior Service Engineer for its London-based team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a technically minded individual looking to start or progress their career within CCTV, access control and electronic security.
You may be a recent college leaver, currently working in a technical environment or looking to move into the electronic security industry. Previous security experience is beneficial but not essential.
You’ll receive hands-on training from experienced engineers, learning the latest IP technology, structured cabling and integrated security systems, with a clear pathway towards further qualifications and career progression.
The Role
You’ll join an experienced engineering team responsible for the installation, servicing and maintenance of the company's electronic security systems.
Initially, you’ll work alongside a senior engineer while learning the company’s systems, procedures and customer standards. As your experience develops, you’ll take on greater responsibility and work towards becoming a fully competent Service Engineer.
Your responsibilities will include:

Servicing and maintaining CCTV and access control systems
*
Assisting with installations and commissioning
*
Diagnosing and resolving technical faults
*
Working with IP, networking and structured cabling technology
*
Using specialist testing and diagnostic equipment
*
Supporting planned and reactive service work
*
Maintaining accurate service records and providing professional customer service
About You

Previous experience in CCTV, access control, electronics, networking, cabling, IT or another technical environment would be advantageous, but is not essential.
Training & Development
The successful candidate will receive a bespoke long-term training programme covering technical, practical and Health & Safety requirements.
Training will include electronic security systems, IP technology, structured cabling, fault diagnosis, diagnostic equipment and access equipment.
The company also provides career pathway planning and support towards relevant qualifications, giving you the opportunity to build a long-term career within the industry.
