Area Sales Manager

Area Sales Manager - £50,000–£60,000 + Bonus + Company Car / Allowance

We are recruiting for an Area Sales Manager on behalf of an established specialist pharmaceutical business with a strong product portfolio and an excellent reputation within its market.

This is a field-based role covering Yorkshire, managing and developing key accounts across the NHS and private sector. It would suit an experienced secondary-care sales professional who is driven, commercially focused and looking for their next opportunity within a growing specialist business.

The Role

As Area Sales Manager, you will:

• Manage and grow business across the Yorkshire territory

• Build strong relationships with key NHS and private-sector customers

• Develop strategic account plans to maximise territory performance

• Identify new business opportunities and increase market share

• Work with key stakeholders and decision makers across secondary care

• Drive formulary and protocol inclusion

• Promote a specialist pharmaceutical portfolio

• Maintain strong knowledge of the NHS environment, customers and local market

The Person

To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:

• Strong secondary-care pharmaceutical or healthcare sales experience

• Previous Key Account Management or Area Sales experience

• A proven track record of achieving sales growth

• Experience developing relationships with NHS stakeholders and decision makers

• Experience gaining formulary or protocol inclusion

• Strong account planning, commercial and relationship-building skills

• A driven, proactive and self-motivated approach

• The ability to manage a territory autonomously and take ownership of results

• A full UK driving licence

ABPI qualification and previous ophthalmology experience would be advantageous.

The Package

• £50,000–£60,000 basic salary DOE

• Bonus
