Autism Support Worker

About the Role

Are you a compassionate, dedicated individual looking to make a meaningful impact in the care sector? We are currently recruiting for Full Time Support Workers to join an established, specialist care provider in Lamington, South Lanarkshire.

This role focuses on supporting individuals with autism to live fulfilling, independent lives in a supportive residential setting. This is a brilliant temp to perm opportunity, as you will start as an agency worker via Randstad Care with a clear pathway to transition into a permanent staff member within just 3 months.

Key Responsibilities

Delivering person centred care and support tailored to individuals on the autism spectrum.

Assisting supported individuals with daily living tasks, personal development, and community outings.

Promoting independence, dignity, and active involvement in choices.

Working flexibly across a rotation of early, late, and weekend shifts, with optional sleepover duties available.

Requirements

A genuine passion for care and a person centred approach (experience in autism support is desirable, but attitude and values are key).

Full UK Driving Licence & vehicle access (essential due to the rural setting in Lamington).

Willingness to register with the SSSC (Scottish Social Services Council) and undergo PVG clearance.

Competitive Salary: £24,000 to £28,000 per annum.

Sleepover Allowance: Generous £100 supplement per sleepover shift.
